Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort
Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort means enjoying the only Links-type golf course in the South of Spain, 18 holes with spectacular views over the Mediterranean, Morocco and Gibraltar and a second 18-hole Heathland golf course.
Alcaidesa is a Resort where you will find style, nature, views, security, and the best golf all wrapped up in one place, located in one of the most exclusive areas in the south of Spain - San Roque, near Cadiz.
Due to the original features of the terrain, from Alcaidesa the sea views are always breathtaking. Furthermore, the fact that this region lies between two areas of outstanding natural beauty makes it even more attractive. At Alcaidesa, the harmony between the Links golf course, the beach and the extraordinary ever-blue sea fit together to form the most spectacular and unbeatable views on the Costa del Sol.
Alcaidesa Links
Alcaidesa Links Course
Designed by Peter Allis and Clive Clark, it was opened in 1992. The terrain at Alcaidesa is characterised by its gentle slopes going down to the sea, ending on a beautiful beachfront of nearly 2 km, to which many of its holes run parallel. Its 18-hole course starts and ends at the new Clubhouse. The difficulty of the course lies above all in the prevailing winds. One of the special characteristics of the course are the breathtaking views over the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Africa.
Alcaidesa Heathland Course
Alcaidesa’s new 18-hole, has been designed by Dave Thomas, former Ryder Cup player and famous for the design of many internationally renowned courses. This course boasts a variety of natural landscapes ranging from a plateau area (holes 1 to 5, 17 and 18) resembling a heathland-type course, with wide fairways and superb views over the Mediterranean and the mountains, to the valley area through which the holes twist and turn their way, also featuring various water obstacles.
Alcaidesa Clubhouse
Alcaidesa Clubhouse is situated between our two golf courses, majestically standing on the highest point of the resort, and offering unbeatable views of the Costa del Sol. With its avant-garde architecture, and its 3000m² of surface area, it is a fine example of how to blend space and the Andalusian style, it has become an architectural benchmark.
